I was asked if I knew anything about a WWI airfield at Headley. That at the junction of the A1 and the A64 York road. I don't.

Asked a bloke in the pub and he said 'Oh yeah. The old hanger is still there behind the closed down petrol station. Wasn't an airfield in my youth though. Must have gone in the 1920's.'

So it looks like there was one. Anyone out there know anything more?
